How critical is it to apply PTF RO89706 for Batch and CICS shops?

Answer:
If you have no IDMSDC programs running in the CV issuing SET TIMER it is unlikely you would have this problem but it is still recommended.
Some IDMS system tasks wait on ICE but the problem has never been found to be related to those. The customers who have experienced the
hang described in the PTF were running third party products that ran in the CV (PMDC and Rocket Software SHADOW product) and it was a
task for those products that caused the hang. The PTF resolved the problem in all cases.
