Issue/Introduction

This issue occurs when upgrading from VCF/VVF 9.0.x to 9.1.0 using the VMware Cloud Foundation Installer.
During the "Join the existing operations appliance"  step the deployment halts.

A red banner displays the message:

An error occurred in task "Import VCF Operations in Fleet Lifecycle".

Additionally, the specific subtask fails with the following detailed error:

The Fleet lifecycle ‘Component import’ task with ID [Task ID] failed. Internal errors: Unexpected VCF Operations Suite client error has occurred. Reference Token: [Token ID]

  • VCF/VVF 9.1.0
  • VCF Operations 9.1.0

Cause

This is a known issue affecting VCF Operations 9.1.0 during the migration of legacy Fleet Management appliance data from 9.0.x environments.

A fix should be implemented in a future release.
