Checking host image compliance on a DPU host cluster succeeds, but shows all DPU hosts in an unknown status

Issue/Introduction

When checking host compliance on DPU hosts using vCenter Lifecycle Manager the image compliance check reports as successful, but the hosts remain in an unknown status to the update manager preventing image remediation.

Environment

• VMware vCenter 8.x
• VMware vCenter 9.0.x

Cause

There is an internal value that times out in vCenter before the DPU have a chance to respond causing the compliance check to fail to complete.

Resolution

VMware Engineering is aware of this issue and it will be addressed in future vCenter 8.0U3 and 9.0 patches. This issue has been resolved in VCF 9.1.
