Issue/Introduction

When a custom batch commit limit is set in the Configuration tab of CA Test Data Manager (TDM), it is correctly applied when publishing directly from the Generator. However, when the same job is triggered via the Self-Service Catalog, the custom configuration is ignored, and the job reverts to the default batch limit (typically 10,000) defined in the application.properties file.

Environment

  • Product: CA Test Data Manager (TDM)
  • Components: TDM Portal, Self-Service Catalog
  • Versions: 5.x, 4.x

Cause

This issue was identified as a product defect where the Self-Service Catalog component was not correctly inheriting the batch limit overrides specified in the job configuration.

Resolution

The fix for this issue has been ported to the 5.x branch and is included in TDM Portal version 5.0.21 and later.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Download the latest TDM Portal patch (version 5.0.21.0 or higher).
  2. Apply the patch to your TDM Portal installation.
  3. Verify that the batch limit set in the configuration tab is now respected when triggering jobs from the Self-Service Catalog.
