Symptoms
The hard drive on the Windows Server hosting the CA Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager is full or reaching capacity.
Large accumulations of historical log files are found in the directory: \CA\SOI\tomcat\logs.
Log history dating back multiple years (e.g., 2022) is present.
It is safe to manually delete historical log files in the SOI Tomcat logs folder. Windows prevents the deletion of files currently in use by active services, which protects the logs actively being written.
Procedure
1) Log in to the Windows Server hosting the CA SOI Manager.
2) Navigate to the following directory in Windows Explorer: \CA\SOI\tomcat\logs
Identify older log files that are no longer needed for troubleshooting (e.g., files from previous years or months).
3) Select the files and delete them.
If a File in Use dialog box appears, select Skip. This indicates the file is current and actively being used by the Tomcat service.
Empty the Recycle Bin to fully reclaim the disk space.
