Issue/Introduction

  • The steps to migrate Tanzu Application Service (TAS) Foundation to Policy have been completed.
  • There is a requirement to rollback to the Manager API to test the migration again.
  • After rolling back the NCP fails to start.
  • Logs show the following error:

    ncp.stdout.log
    [TIMESTAMP] <UUID> NSX 1250252 - [nsx@6876 comp="nsx-container-ncp" subcomp="ncp" level="CRITICAL" security="True" errorCode="NCP00261"] nsx_ujo.ncp.main NCP cannot run because cluster migration status is success. Please wait until the migration to Policy completes successfully

Resolution

There is no resolution to this issue. Rolling back from Policy to Manager API is not a supported workflow.
