Issue/Introduction

In vCenter Server 9.1, task status strings are not displayed correctly when using the Japanese UI.

  • The multi-byte characters are replaced by broken HTML entity strings.
  • For example, the status "完了" (Completed) is incorrectly displayed as "完了".

Environment

vCenter Server 9.1

Cause

This is a rendering issue that occurs when processing multi-byte characters.

Resolution

VCF Engineering is aware of this issue.

The English UI is unaffected by this issue.
