Issue/Introduction

Inventory sync for VMware Identity Manager fails in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle. The following error is observed:

Error Code: LCMVIDM74074
Error checking VMware Identity Manager node patch level.
vIDM pgpool cluster patch precheck failed on the host :##.#.###.##

Environment

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

This issue occurs when the password for the VMware Identity Manager nodes is rotated outside of VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle while the cluster is in an unhealthy state. This causes a mismatch between the stored password in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle and the actual password on the nodes.

Resolution

  1. Access the related Knowledge Base 410476 article to rotate the password back to the original value.

  2. Verify that the credentials are synchronized.

  3. Retry the inventory sync operation in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
