Error SDM223631 when deploying a SD Package.

Issue/Introduction

Deploying packages results in the following error:

 

Job failed because it was not possible to send the job container to server [SDM223631] 

Environment

Client Automation - All Versions

Cause

This error can be due to several problems but the most common problem is DNS resolution problems.

Check if the remote Scalability Servers can ping, ping -a, camping, caf ping to and from the Domain Manager by FQDN as well as short name.

Another possible cause is a problem with sdserver plugin on the scalability server.

Resolution

Check if sdserver plugin is running fine on the scalability server with problem and restart if needed :

 

caf status sdserver

caf stop sdserver

caf kill sdserver

caf start sdserver

 

or for DNS problem :

 

Create or edit HOSTS files on the DM and remote Scalability servers and confirm able to do all ping tests listed above.

 

The location of the HOSTS file is located at:

 

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

 

Provide the IP FQDN and short name.
