Issue/Introduction

An inconsistency in behavior has been identified when deploying packages within the Univiewer environment. Specifically, there is a mismatch between deployments executed via the unidpl command-line package utility and those processed directly through the Univiewer Console GUI.

  • Expected Behavior: Deployment execution and package behavior should be identical regardless of whether the deployment is triggered via the unidpl command line or the Univiewer Console.

  • Actual Behavior: The system exhibits different, unexpected behaviors depending on which deployment method is utilized.

Environment

This issue affects the following components:

  • Univiewer Management Server (UVMS): v7.x

  • Univiewer Console: v7.x

Cause

This discrepancy is driven by an internal software defect, which is formally tracked under code DE185137.

Resolution

A fix for this defect has been developed and is integrated into Univiewer Management Server v7.01.21.

Note: As of right now, there is no tentative release date scheduled for version 7.01.21. Please monitor upcoming release notes or contact technical support referencing defect DE185137 for availability updates.
