Issue/Introduction

After you update the VMware Aria Automation appliance from version 9.0.2 to version 9.1, the inventory within the Fleet lifecycle management interface continues to display the legacy 9.0 node details.

The updated information for the newly deployed 9.1 node fails to populate or synchronize correctly, resulting in an inventory mismatch where old deployment entries persist and the new node attributes remain missing.

Environment

  • VCF Automation 9.x
  • VCF Operations 9.x

Cause

  • This issue occurs because the component framework labels and operational status annotations on the cluster fail to transition automatically during the finalization phase of the upgrade sequence. Because these back-end object references remain unmodified or blank, Fleet LifeCycle continues to interpret the infrastructure environment using cached metadata definitions.

Resolution

This issue is under review with Broadcom Engineering.

If you encounter this state and require immediate remediation to reimport the updated VCF Automation 9.1 nodes back into the fleet lifecycle framework, please open a case with Broadcom Technical Support for assistance.
