Ignore monitoring and prevent alerts for specific objects in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

These are instructions to make Aria Operations to ignore if events happen on specific objects.

These instructions are useful for Aria operations with mixed environments (production and laboratory) were the lab environment shall not trigger alerts.

These instructions are also useful for ignoring operations that are constantly being performed on objects and causing alerts that are already known.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

Follow the below steps:

1. Access Operations > Configurations > Inventory Management
   
   
2. Filter or search for the objects that are in the clusters you want to silence (hosts, datastores and virtual switches).
   
   
3. Select the object and choose the icon to "Start Maintenance"
   
   
4. You can select multiple objects to be set as in maintenance in Aria Operations.
   
   
5. Click ok leaving the option "I will return to end maintenance myself." checked.
