DX UIM Nimsoft Robot Service Description is empty in Windows

Issue/Introduction

 The Nimsoft Service (Nimsoft Robot Watcher / NimbusWatcherService) on Windows does not have a description. No matter how it is deployed, it shows an empty description field.

 

Environment

• DX UIM Version : 23.4.*
• Component: Nimsoft Service (Robot)
• OS: Windows (All Versions)

Cause

The UIM / Nimsoft Watcher Service registration logic lacks the parameter to populate the service description field during deployment or installation.

Resolution

As per May 2026, DX UIM Engineering is evaluating enhancing the Nimsoft Watcher Service to include a description if future releases
