 Endevor job failed with internal error ENBP096S, why?

 

 

 

Resolution

Answer:

The full error message in this case was as follows:

ENBP096S Internal error in function ExpandWildCard. Return Code=X'00000000', Reason Code=X'00000C00'

The message is telling us that the file that the job was attempting to access was not available to be open. 

Reasons for message:

•      The file in question could be in exclusive use and can not be open.
•      LSERV might be preventing file from being opened, recycling of LSERV could resolved  
•      File might not be available on the LPAR one is executing the job on

Before calling support please check for additional error messages that might help explain the problem.
