SEP 14.3 RU9 Installation Fails on RHEL 10 – "Linux Distribution not supported"

Issue/Introduction

Customers are experiencing installation failures when deploying SEP 14.3 RU9 on RHEL 10, receiving a "Linux Distribution not supported" error.

Cause

We have identified the cause of the "Linux Distribution not supported" error when attempting to install SEP 14.3 RU9 on RHEL 10.

This issue occurs because an older version of the installation script is being used, which does not include the updated OS detection logic for RHEL 10.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, please ensure you are using the latest installer.

If you are using the Cloud Management console (CDM), please download a fresh Linux installer directly from the console.

If you are using SEPM, run LiveUpdate on your SEPM console to retrieve the updated installer, export a new client installation package, and then run it on your RHEL 10 endpoints.
