Issue/Introduction

Aria Operations triggers an alert indicating: "License usage is critically high." This symptom occurs when the active licensable usage within the environment exceeds the product license capacity that is currently assigned.

To verify the Licensable units:

  • Log in to the vRealize Operations Product UI.

  • Verify the current license capacity:

    • Navigate to Inventory > vRealize Operations Cluster > vRealize Operations Cluster - .

    • Select the Metrics tab.

    • Expand Properties > Licensing > License Key.

    • Select the corresponding license key and view the Capacity value.

  • Verify the current licensable usage:

    • Navigate to Subscriptions > Legacy Licenses > License groups.

    • Select the affected license group.

    • Under the Overview tab, review the Licensable Usage value, which displays the total licensable units consumed.

If the Licensable Usage is greater than the combined Capacity of the licenses under the corresponding license group, obtain and install the necessary additional license keys to cover the deficit.

Alternatively, the license usage can be verified from the below dashboards.
