Issue/Introduction

• When VCF Operations for Networks 9.1 is deployed, the platform and collector VMs have names that include the IP address. For example:
  • ops_networks-collector-192-168-0-104
  • ops_network-platform-192-168-0-107
• These names were not specified during the deployment. They also differ significantly from other VM names for components deployed via the VCF Operations fleet component.
• The FQDN for each node IP address resolves accurately to the IP address noted in the VM name. The IP address also resolves to the desired FQDN.

Resolution

This is expected behavior in VCF Operations 9.1. No action is necessary.

Additional Information

Do not change the names of these VMs manually as they are managed by VCF Operations.
