Datacom DDOL or DDOX menu options abend in VPEHJN75 after IPC Maintenance/Relinking SC00TRAN

Issue/Introduction

After applying maintenance (including LU12877 and LU13362) to IPC and Datacom/DB, transactions DDOL or DDOX may fail with a VPEHJN75 abend.

Cause

• LU12877 and LU13362 solutions modified AMODE/RMODE of SC00TRAN.
  
  
• The abend typically occurs because SC00TRAN is incorrectly loaded at a 31-bit address.
  
  
• Custom assembly procedures using AMODE/RMODE as parameters were overriding the required RMODE=24 setting for SC00TRAN, causing it to load in 31-bit storage which DDOL cannot process.

Resolution

Verify that SC00TRAN is linked RMODE 24. AMODE can be 24 or 31.
