Issue/Introduction

We are invoking a program named GTXDEF for obfuscation purposes in a UAT and Pre‑Production environment. While investigating a related issue, we attempted to locate the source code for GTXDEF, but have been unable to find it in the expected locations.

At this point, it’s unclear whether the program is delivered as part of a Broadcom product, implemented as a custom utility, or stored in a non-standard path.

Request:
Could you please help confirm:

  • Where the GTXDEF source code is located, or
  • Whether this program is delivered as a compiled component (and not source-available), along with any relevant documentation

Environment

All supported TDM Mainframe components.

Resolution

GTXDEF (along with GTXMSKF) is a standard, compiled load module delivered as part of the CA Test Data Manager (TDM) Mainframe Add-on.

Because this is a proprietary Broadcom product component, the source code is not available for distribution or reference. It is intended to be used as a compiled component within your UAT and Pre-Production environments to perform obfuscation/masking tasks.

You can find these modules in your TDM Mainframe LOADLIB dataset.
