Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.X
VMware Identity Broker 9.0X

Cause

This issue occurs when fewer than four IP addresses are provided in the Cluster Node IP Pool section during the deployment configuration.

Resolution

  • Log in to VCF Operations 9.0.
  • Navigate to Fleet Management > Lifecycle > VCF Management.
  • Follow the wizard and complete the following sections: Deployment, Certificate, Infrastructure, Network, and Components.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the Cluster Node IP Pool configuration.
  • Enter a minimum of 4 IP addresses (you can provide a maximum of 7 IP addresses).
Note: Three of these IP addresses are used to deploy the cluster nodes hosting the VCF Identity Broker component. The spare IP addresses are held in reserve to be used during rolling cluster upgrades and patches.
  • Save the configuration, ensuring you have at least one free IP address available beyond the three required for the nodes.
  • Rerun the VIDB deployment pre-check.
