Issue/Introduction

Multiple component instances such as Policy Manager and Active Directory incorrectly display within the OneClick console after performing an environment upgrade from version 25․4․2 to 25․4․7․‌‍

Environment

CA Spectrum All Versions

Cause

  • The HomeModel (0x11cd2) for these duplicate apps should be pointing to MLS but they were all pointing to themselves

Resolution

1․ CORRECT CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS:

Navigate to the locrc configuration files on the Distributed SpectroSERVER (DSS) boxes
Path: Configuration directory containing the locrc file
Action: Edit the locrc file and modify the MAIN_LOCATION_HOST_NAME parameter to ensure it points to the Main Location Server (MLS) instead of pointing to itself
EXPECTED: The parameter correctly references the central MLS hostname

2․ RESTART LOCATION SERVER PROCESS:

Terminate the active process to enforce configuration changes
Command: kill LocServer

EXPECTED: The process management daemon automatically respawns the LocServer process with the corrected configurations.

Check the OneClick console interface to ensure only a single entry displays for each duplicated component.
