Issue/Introduction

Tanzu Hub allows users to manage multiple foundations including downloading, configuring and uploading tiles to the Foundation Core (Operations Manager). 

If you add the capability to a profile using the "Add to Profile" button, the capability will automatically be downloaded and staged to the foundation when the profile is applied.

Otherwise, the capability warehouse provides you an alternative to download capabilities directly from the support portal without having to access it directly.This requires uploading it manually.

Resolution

To automatically download capabilities to the foundation use Profiles feature. It is a template defined by user for easier management and configuration of the foundation.

Steps: 

1. Configure Token: Ensure a valid Tanzu Network token is added in the Capabilities section.
2. Modify Profile: Navigate to Fleet Management, select or create a profile.
3. Add Capability: Go to Capabilities, locate the service, and select Add to Profile.
4. Assign Profile: Navigate to Foundations, select your foundation, and choose Assign Profile.

More details available at Foundation profiles. Once profile is applied to the foundation, it will check for which capabilities(tiles) or stemcells are set in profile and will automatically download those to the foundation.
