Issue/Introduction

  • When exporting events from the vSphere Client using the Advanced Export Events feature, you may notice that the "Type" and "User" columns are missing from the generated CSV file.

  • The columns are excluded even if All columns is selected, or if the "Type" and "User" checkboxes are explicitly checked under the Select columns option.

Cause

This issue is caused by a logic error within the vSphere Client user interface. The UI fails to correctly capture the selection state for the "Type" and "User" columns during the advanced export workflow, causing them to be unintentionally filtered out from the final CSV output.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 9.1 or later.
