Issue/Introduction

Elements are Failed to move with a reason code 12. Do not know why.

Cause

When Executing the retrieve,  EXEC PGM=C1BM3000 RETRIEVE ELEMENT the comment was determined to be creating a syntax error. 

The comment was coded with single quotes around the text, the text itself had one single quote in the text. This caused the error below.

Error messaging found in SYSOUT;

BSTPPARS: E004 INVALID COMMAND WORDING, FOUND: 'xx                
BSTPPARS: E007 ENDING QUOTE NOT FOUND FOR: 'OVERRIDE REPLACE...    

Resolution

The customer removed the single quote from the text of the Comment field. This resolved the error. 

Additionally, if customers would like to use a single quote within the Comment field, using double quotes may alleviate the failure.
