Issue/Introduction

• During a scale down of a nodepool, the following error is produced:
  
  “Failed to apply NodePolicy CR. Cluster: ######, Operation: Customize,
Intent: ########-####-####-####-############, NodePool: ######,
Details: HttpStatus: 409 : Operation cannot be fulfilled on nodepolicies.acm.vmware.com
"######": the object has been modified; please apply your changes to the latest version and try again”
 
• You notice nodes in the nodepool are rebooting, but recovering without issue.

TCA 2.2

Resolution

This could be due to the nodes rebooting. This is a known issue affecting 2.2. Please reference KB Scale operation on node pool causes existing nodes to restart.
