Issue/Introduction

For some reason, Alert Collector module was not upgraded to 14.6, keeping the .EXE in the old 14.5 versions:

In this article is explained how to run the installer again and upgrade this module only.

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 and 14.6

Resolution

In order to upgrade Alert Collector, the following steps can be followed:

1.- Copy the 'Manager' folder into the server (located in D:\WindowsProductFiles_x86\Manager, from the media file).

NOTE: Running this upgrade directly from the ISO, will end with error.

2.- Run the following command:

msiexec.exe /i Manager.msi /l*v “C:\Upgrade_AlertCollector.log" REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS MASTERSETUP=1 CAF_START_SERVICE=0 /qb-! REINSTALLMODE=vamus REINSTALL=AlertCollector

3.- Once it ends, the Alert Collector file will be replaced/upgraded to the 14.6 version:

If there is any error detected during the process, the generated log "Upgrade_AlertCollector.log" can be reviewed.
