Using the same Symantec VIP credential for both VIP Users and VIP administrators

Issue/Introduction

The same Symantec VIP credentials can be used for VIP user authentications and VIP administrator logins. 

Resolution

The state of the VIP credential assigned to the user will not affect the VIP credential assigned to an administrator. For example, removing a credential from a VIP User who is also a VIP administrator will not remove it from that VIP administrator. This is because a VIP user and a VIP administrator are separate accounts in the VIP system even though they may be the same person.
