When attempting to license an Azure VMware Solution (AVS) Gen2 environment using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 entitlements, users may encounter the following issues:
VMware VCF 9.x
Starting with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 and VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) 9.0, traditional 25-character license keys have been retired and replaced by subscription-based license files.
The AVS portal UI currently maintains legacy validation fields for "License Key" and "Expiry Date" that do not support the VCF 9.x UUID format or subscription model.
VCF 9.x is currently not supported by AVS Gen 2 due to these licensing restrictions. Please contact AVS support for updated details.
