Can a Workload Automation System Agent work with more than one AutoSys scheduler simultaneously?

Resolution

Yes, a single Workload Automation System Agent can communicate with and process workloads for multiple AutoSys schedulers at the same time, depending on how their instance names (AUTOSERV values) are configured:

• Unique AUTOSERV Values: If the AutoSys instances (for example, an R12 instance and an R24 instance) have unique AUTOSERV names, the agent can work with both schedulers simultaneously. The agent's agentparm.txt configuration file must be configured to list both schedulers as valid managers.

• Identical AUTOSERV Values: If both AutoSys instances share the exact same AUTOSERV name, the agent cannot uniquely distinguish between them. In this scenario, the agent can only work with one of the schedulers.
