Unable to cut and paste in NCM_UI Windows client

Issue/Introduction

You are unable to use cut or paste functions within the NCM_UI Windows client, including the login screen and regex tests. Use of the clipboard is unstable or non-functional in specific UI sections while working correctly in other applications (ex. Web Browser Client).

Environment

 

• Application: Network Configuration Manager (NCM)

• Client: NCM_UI (NCM_25_4_6_0_UI.exe)

• Java: OpenJDK

 

Cause

The issue is due to a compatibility defect between older JDK versions and Netbeans, specifically tracked under https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8353950.

Resolution

This will be addressed in the upcoming NCM 25.4.8 release with the update to using Java25 which contains a fix for this.
