Issue/Introduction

When attempting to change the backup password within the product user interface, the operation fails and throws an error indicating that the action cannot be completed.

Cause

The system requires passphrase to be set and validated before any modifications to the backup password can be processed as it is mandatory. If this passphrase field is blank or unconfigured, the system cannot authenticate the security transition, resulting in an error.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must configure the mandatory passphrase before updating the backup password:

  1. Navigate to the backup configuration section within the product user interface.

  2. Locate the Passphrase field.

  3. Input and save the required passphrase.

  4. Proceed to update your backup password as intended.

  5. Verify that the password change completes successfully without throwing an error.
