Issue/Introduction

The Pre-validate Create Snapshot task fails for VMware Identity Manager in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.

The VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle service may encounter a timeout or a stale connection to the VMware Identity Manager API during the pre-validation phase.

Environment

• VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7
• VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x

Resolution

1. Log in to the VMware vCenter Server managing the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle appliance.
2. Locate the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle appliance VM in the inventory.
3. Select Actions > Power > Restart Guest OS.
4. Wait at least 5–10 minutes for all services to initialize before re-attempting the snapshot task.
