BDNEW02 receives "IEF212I DATA SET NOT FOUND " in ADRPNLBU step

Issue/Introduction

While running Datacom/DB new installation job BDNEW02, a JCL error occurred in step ADRPNLBU. Where does this file come from?

IEF212I BDNEW02 ADRPNLBU STEP2 VLSFILE - DATA SET NOT FOUND  

Resolution

The ADRPNL VLS file is originally created in the IPC installation, through job VQNEW01. This job is responsible for creating the ADRPNL, ADROUT, ADRLIB, and ADRTRC files,

If a “File Not Found” or "Dataset not found" error is received, check that VQNEW01 ran successfully

Additional Information

It is expected that the IPC installation was completed first, before the Datacom/DB installation. Check the VQNEW01 job to see what filename was used, and then use that filename as noted in BDNEW02 flower box instruction #10 

   PERFORM A GLOBAL CHANGE OF "CAI.VHLQ"
    TO THE HIGH LEVEL QUALIFIER OF THE VLS DATASETS.
