N-S Network Introspection deployment shows incorrect T-1 attachment in the "Applied To field"

Issue/Introduction

Display Shows in NSX-UI > Security > N-S Introspection (Red Boxes mark where inconsistencies will be displayed)

Symptoms observed after a N/S Network Introspection deployment include

  • Incorrect T-1 or T-0 are displayed in the 'Applied To' field

  • Incorrect or no data in the 'Redirect To' field

  • 'Unpublished Changes' will continue to show after publishing content

  • Redeployments of N/S Network Inspection show the same discrepancies as before

  • Deployment is operational with no flaws to the network inspection process

Environment

NSX 4.2.x

Cause

This is due to the UI scope field not pulling N/S Network Introspection configuration from the correct internal source. Causing incorrect display of information related to N/S Network Introspection NSX UI. 

Resolution

This will be corrected in future version of NSX. Operational status for N/S Network Inspection is not affected.   

To workaround the issue, run REST API command below. This will provide the correct information for N/S Network Introspection Deployment.

API Command  > GET  https://NSXManager-IP-FQDN//policy/api/v1/ui/firewall/sections?resource_type=RedirectionPolicy
