Storage usage reports 0 GB in project quotas or custom forms

Issue/Introduction

• You observe that storage usage metrics for specific deployments or projects report incorrect or showing 0 GB usage, even though disks are successfully provisioned
• Custom forms utilizing the Deployment API show discrepancies when compared to Project API data.
• The reporting error is isolated to specific virtual machines within a project while others report correctly.
• This behavior occurs even after applying recent product patches.

Environment

Aria Automation 8.18.x

Cause

This is an environmental issue where specific database entries are missing the internal reference attribute __isStorageReserved.

Without this attribute, the service fails to calculate and report the reserved storage for those deployment records. While the root cause of why these specific records were initialized incorrectly is unknown, these entries are uniquely identified in the database as being created by the system user: /core/authz/system-user

Resolution

There is no planned product fix for this issue as it is environmental. To resolve the reporting discrepancy, you must manually update the impacted records to include the missing storage reservation attribute.
