Aria Operations Kubernetes Integration Fails with error "Error in fetching the version of Kubernetes control plane"

Issue/Introduction

After adding a Kubernetes account in the VMware Aria Operations integration and validating the connection, the UI displays the following error:

Error in fetching the version of Kubernetes control plane - https://<IP_Address>:6443

The /storage/vcops/log/collector.log contains the following exception during the connection test:

com.vmware.vcops.adapter.dataprovider.KubernetesDataProvider.test - Error in fetching the version of Kubernetes control plane - https://<IP_Address>:6443 java.lang.RuntimeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No certificate data found

Cause

The credentials used for Kubernetes integration are incorrect. An invalid Certificate Authority Data value causes this error.

Resolution

Update the correct credentials for the integration by following Configure Integration with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
