Unable to remove DR service from Compute Profile

Issue/Introduction

Below error is seen when attempting to remove DR service from Compute Profile.

Error : 

Error updating Compute Profile.
The following services cannot be disabled since they are already in use by the following Service Meshes:DISASTER_RECOVERY -> <Service_Mesh_Name>

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

The DR service should be removed from Service Mesh first.

Resolution

Implement the below steps in order :

1. Remove DR services from all service meshes : Before removing DR service from Compute Profile, need to first remove all existing DR services from all service meshes.
   This can be done by navigating to:
   
   HCX Standalone/443 UI → Interconnect → Service Mesh -- Edit — unselect DR service, which will trigger reconfigure of IX Appliance from both source and target HCX Managers.
   
   
2. Deselect DR service from Compute Profile : After removal, deselect DR services from all Compute Profiles including HCX Connector and Cloud systems. This action removes the DR service configuration from the management plane.
   
   HCX Standalone/443 UI → Interconnect → Compute Profiles -- Edit — unselect DR service.
