Snapshot and Inventory Sync requests in Aria Suite Lifecycle fail for Aria Automation with errors LCMCOMMON80001 and LCMCOMMON80063.
Symptoms include:
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException during validateproductsnapshot.
Error: Invalid root credentials during Inventory Sync.
Precheck fails: Aria Automation node health is not ok.
Aria Suite Lifecycle: 8.18.x
Aria Automation: 8.18.x
Root passwords on the Aria Automation nodes have expired, blocking Aria Suite Lifecycle tasks.
The Aria Automation health status is "Not OK" due to service instability (e.g., high pod uptime or memory pressure).
SSH to all Aria Automation nodes and reset the root password when prompted.
Update the Locker in Aria Suite Lifecycle > Locker > Passwords with the new Aria Automation root credentials.
Run an Inventory Sync for Aria Automation to ensure Aria Suite Lifecycle can communicate with the cluster.
If the health checks continue to fail, please take snapshots of the Aria Automation nodes and establish an SSH session to one of the nodes. Follow the standard validation procedure per Validating VMware Aria Automation and Automation Orchestrator 8.x health for VMware Aria Automation and Orchestrator 8.x to assess appliance health. If needed, follow Starting and stopping VMware Aria Automation to restart services; this will help alleviate memory pressure and resolve service instability caused by aged pod sessions.
Once services/pods are "Running" and /opt/health/run.sh reports success, retry the snapshot.
