Issue/Introduction

The error is listed in the /storage/core/loginsight/var/runtime.log

ERROR] [com.vmware.loginsight.database.dao.CACertificateDO] [Unable to move certificate under ner alias. Check the certificate with alias null]
ERROR] [com.vmware.loginsight.database.dao.CACertificateDO] [Unable to get custom CA certificates. null]

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

There are certificates in the internal trust store file that do not have an alias. These certificates were added to the trust store using a previous version of Aria Operations for Logs and remained in the trust store file through subsequent upgrades.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Aria Operations for Logs UI with an administrative level account
  2. Navigate to Management > Certificates
  3. Click the checkbox next to any certificate where the Alias column is blank
  4. Click Actions and select Delete
  5. Click Delete in the Delete Certificates dialog
