Issue/Introduction

Users authenticating via eEM (Embedded Entitlements Manager) are unable to view jobstreams in the AAI Web UI. Specifically, when a user's Business Area is configured to All Jobstreams, the jobstreams fail to populate in the Jobstreams Runs - Grid or Timeline views.

Environment

  • Product: Automation Analytics & Intelligence (AAI)
  • Version: 24.4.0
  • Authentication: eEM (Embedded Entitlements Manager)

Cause

This issue is caused by a known defect, DE184206, where eEM-authenticated users cannot view jobstreams that only belong to the default All Jobstreams Business Area.

Resolution

Permanent Fix

This issue is resolved in Automation Analytics & Intelligence version 24.5.0. Customers experiencing this issue should upgrade to version 24.5.0 or later.

Workaround

If an upgrade is not immediately possible, use the following steps to restore visibility:

  1. Open the AAI Thick Client or Web UI with an administrative account.
  2. Edit the affected Jobstreams.
  3. Navigate to the Jobstream Hierarchy tab.
  4. Assign the jobstream to a specific Business Area other than the default All Jobstreams.
  5. Have the eEM user log out and log back into AAI to verify visibility.

Additionally, verify in the eEM UI that the user or group (e.g., JawsUsers) does not have the Disabled checkbox selected under their identity properties.
