How to configure Application and Services logs for monitoring in ntevl probe

Issue/Introduction

By default, the ntevl probe configuration GUI only displays standard Windows Event Logs such as System, Application, and Security. Users may need to monitor specific logs located under the "Applications and Services Logs" section of the Windows Event Viewer (e.g., Task Scheduler, DFS Replication, or specific application logs). How to configure these logs?

Environment

Release: DX UIM 23.4.x

Component: Ntevl

Resolution

By default, the ntevl probe configuration GUI only displays standard Windows Event Logs such as System, Application, and Security. which are selected in the Setup tab > Properties tab > Log Files to be Monitored list. 

Can add more logs as needed. After adding the required logs to "Log Files to be Monitored list" , then 

• Open the Status tab.
• Select the required event log file from the Event Log drop-down list.
