In the VMware HCX UI, under the Service Mesh configuration, you observe an entry titled "Uplinks (Overridden)". This appears even when the default network profile settings are expected to be in use. This display indicates that the specific Service Mesh configuration is not following the global default uplink settings.

This behavior occurs because the Override option was manually enabled within the Service Mesh settings. When this option is toggled on, it allows for a custom configuration that supersedes the default network profile settings for that specific mesh, resulting in the "Overridden" status shown in the UI.
To manage or revert this configuration, perform the following steps:
Log in to the HCX Manager UI.
Navigate to Interconnect > Service Mesh.
Select the impacted Service Mesh and click Edit.
Navigate to the Uplink Network Profiles section.
If you wish to use the default settings and remove the "Overridden" status, ensure the Override toggle is disabled.
Complete the wizard to update the Service Mesh configuration.
