ProxySG Software - SGOS

Issue/Introduction

Customer currently has proxy servers in PRODUCTION running 7.3.18.3 (Web VPM 2.2.10) and want to upgrade these to SGOS 7.4.12.3.

The upgrade started in DEV and was successful - with the Management Center referencing the upgraded Edge SWG server running 7.4.12.3.

However, when the Edge SWG admin tried changing the logical name of a rule within the policy, attempting to Save the policy in management centre causes the session to hang as shown below - only way to get back to the setup is to close the tab and start a new one again to the Management Center.

Making the same change from the individual Proxy VPM directly also shows the same issue - so the problem lies with the VPM.

Digging into the rule in more details, it was identified that a combination needed to exist for this 'hang' to happen i.e. problem appears to be related to nested rules; having an individual rule within the same web access layer allowed the Edge SWG admin change and save the rule name without any issue.

Environment

Edge Proxy.

Combined rules within Policy.

Web VPM.

Cause

Bug with Web VPM nested combined object rename feature.

Resolution

Upgrade the Web VPM component to 2.2.13.
