Cisco vManage (Viptela) to version 20.15.5 shows shows poll status failed in Portal

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Cisco vManage (Viptela) to version 20.15.5 and restarting the Virtual Network Assurance (VNA) gateway, the VNA plugin enters a **Failed** state in Portal.   The error seen in the oc.log is 403 "role not allowed"

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management and Virtual Network Assurance 25.4.5

Cause

When you upgrade from Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (vManage) 20.12 to 20.15, the way the system handles Events, Alarms, and Audit Logs also undergoes a significant shift due to the new Granular RBAC and Co-Management features.

Resolution

Within vManage the user role must be updated to Read / Access the appropriate metrics we poll for.  After making changes to the rolw within vManage the poll status within portal changed to available and green
