Issue/Introduction

VCF Instance certificates are not visible in Fleet Management. The interface appears blank with no certificate data listed for the affected VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) instance.

Environment

VCF 9.X GA
VCF Operations 9.0.X
Fleet Management 9.0.X

Cause

VCF (SDDC Manager) is inaccessible. VCF Operations cannot establish communication with the SDDC Manager, resulting in a failure to collect and populate environment data, including certificate metadata.

Resolution

To resolve this issue and restore visibility, follow the steps below to re-validate the integration and refresh the certificate data:

  1. Log in to the VCF Operations 9.x UI using the admin account.

  2. Navigate to VCF Operations > Administration > Integration.

  3. Select the affected VCF instance and click Validate to check the VCF (SDDC) integration status.

  4. If the validation fails, reboot the SDDC Manager appliance.

  5. Following the reboot, return to the Integration page and click Validate again to confirm that VCF Operations successfully connects to the SDDC Manager.

  6. Allow sufficient time for the standard data collection cycles to complete. Once finished, the VCF Instance certificates will automatically populate and become visible in Fleet Management.
