This article provides the configuration steps required to deploy additional NSX Manager appliances directly from the existing NSX Manager UI to form a highly available management cluster.

Administrative requirement to scale out the NSX Manager deployment to form a resilient, highly available cluster architecture
Log in to the primary NSX Manager UI as an administrator.
Navigate to System > Appliances.
Click Add NSX Appliance.
Enter the required appliance information details: Host Name or FQDN, Management IP, Netmask, Management Gateway, DNS Servers, and NTP Server.
Select the appropriate Node Size (Medium or Large is recommended for production environments).
Under the configuration details, select the target Compute Manager (vCenter Server) to provision the compute resources.
Select the target Compute Cluster, Resource Pool (or Host), Datastore, and Management Network for the node.
Define the system passwords for the root, admin, and audit users.
Toggle SSH and Root Access to enabled if required by your organizational security policy.
Click Install Appliance and monitor the deployment progress. Once completed, the new node will automatically join the cluster and synchronize data.
