vCenter LDAPS Identity configuration disappeared

Issue/Introduction

vCenter LDAP identity source disappears after updating its certificates.

Environment

vCenter 8 & 9

Cause

When an identity source is updated, it's deleted and re-created. When the identity source is updated with a duplicate certificate, the re-create fails leading to the identity source no longer existing.

Resolution

When updating the identity source's certificates, verify that all certificates are unique.

This issue will be addressed in a future version of vCenter.
