Issue/Introduction

Compliance Scanning for VMware Tanzu reports INCONSISTENT_STATE_TARGET error.The product name is VMware Tanzu Operations Manager rather than Foundation Core for VMware Tanzu Platform.

INCONSISTENT_STATE_TARGET : Compliance Scanning for VMware Tanzu Platform 1.3.30 requires VMware Tanzu Operations Manager (2.9.* or 2.10.* or 3.0.* or 3.1.* or 3.2.* or 3.2." or 3.3.")

Alternative, planner is looking for Tanzu Application Service rather than Elastic Application Runtime.

Resolution

The issue can be worked around temporarily by removing product from upgrade planner list. Alternatively, make sure you are targeting the latest available version of a product in order to have most up-to-date metadata.

Older product versions may have out-of-date metadata that has legacy product names for Foundation Core and Elastic Application Runtime. Tanzu engineering is working to address product metadata inconsistencies that results in these errors.
