Issue/Introduction

optimize-tables-nas task fails, error observed in taskRun log is:

SEVERE: error executing query: OPTIMIZE TABLE data_variable

java.sql.SQLException: Can not issue executeUpdate() or executeLargeUpdate() with statements that

produce result sets Query: OPTIMIZE TABLE data_variable Parameters: []

at org.apache.commons.dbutils.QueryRunner.rethrow(QueryRunner.java:359)

at org.apache.commons.dbutils.QueryRunner.update(QueryRunner.java:428)

Environment

MnR 7.x below 7.9.0.1

Resolution

This issue is identified as a known issue and is fixed in MnR 7.9.0.1.

Users to wait for 7.9.0.1 release which tentatively be released in Mid-July 2026 and upgrade to avail the fix.
