Ways to collect billing and cost data for Azure Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) subscriptions.

Resolution

Billing and cost data for Azure CSP subscriptions can be collected either via Partner Center integration or MCA Cost Management APIs—with the customer's specific billing model.

• Classic CSP : If the subscriptions are under the classic CSP model, the only supported method for automated billing collection is through the Partner Center integration. This requires the necessary administrative credentials to establish the connection and pull usage and billing data.

• Azure Plan (New Commerce Experience): If the customers have transitioned their subscriptions to the Azure Plan under a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA), you can leverage the MCA Billing Account Cost Management APIs. This allows for the programmatic retrieval of cost and usage details at the billing account or billing profile scope, provided you have been granted appropriate billing roles (such as Billing Reader) on that account.
